Have they got a licence and what kind of licence do they have? The reason I say this is because there are two types of licence, one is called a Class A licence and the other is a Class B licence. So, the class A licence will allow you to remove both types of Asbestos one is friable Asbestos and the other is none friable Asbestos. The Class B licence will only allow you to remove none friable Asbestos
Do they have insurance? And if so, does the insurance cover them for asbestos removal. Ask them for a copy it will say on it.
3. ONSITE SETUP
If you are getting Asbestos removed from the inside of the house. Ask this Question are they going to set up a min-enclosure? this is also called a bubble. This is important because it contains the dust which may contain Asbestos fibres and stop it entering other parts of the house.
4. THE REMOVAL PROCESS
How are they going to remove the Asbestos from the house? The way it should be done is all Asbestos is bagged up inside the enclosure and then the bags are washed down before leaving the enclosure.
5. CLEARANCE CERTIFICATES
Are They Going to provide a clearance cert? this normally done by an Independent Inspector.
Where will they dispose of the asbestos? and Have they got a licence to transport it? and Can they provide a waste tracking cert as well.
